ORIGINS
This organization stem's from Aerospace Exploration, which was originally founded by president and website designer Hannah Lin. Notable other members include volunteer and fundraiser leader Maya Hamandi, social media officer Arav Mathapati, research and outreach director Luke Wang, MadebyAE lead assistant and fundraising manager Kylie Nguyen, and web design assistant David Sheng.

June 15, 2023 to August 14, 2023
Aerospace Exploration partnered with the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) in the summer of 2023 to produce a research paper on fluid mechanics. The research concerned a 3D-printed fluid device, and included researchers: Hannah Lin, Luke Wang, Arman Fard, JT Shuai, Ellia Asgari, and David Sheng.
UDC RESEARCH PAPER AND EXPERIMENT
June 2023 to September 2023
AE President Hannah and other AE researchers have collaborated with UDC to conduct research on fluid mechanics. Thus far, they have produced a 3-D CAD design of a cooling device and used fluid mechanics formulas to predict the rate of heat transfer.


May 2023
AE President Hannah attended the meeting with UDC CAM-STAR and NASA, which presented outreach activities that they collaborated together in. The purpose of attending was to provide insight of how UDC and AE worked together to foster the growth of STEM and NASA within our community.
UDC CAM-STARS and Reston Teen Center CAD Class
March 2023
AE President Hannah and HEAD member Kylie attended our organized collaboration event with University of DC and Reston Teen Center. We had a college student at UDC present to middle schoolers at Reston Teen Center regarding CAD and 3-D printing as well as opportunities! It was an amazing experience for the team as well as the teens at the center.

California Krispy Kreme Outreach Event
December 2022
In California, Shijia Tang helped spread the word regarding out Krispy Kreme Online Fundraiser Event! We are so happy that AE is making an impact in different parts of the country!


November 2022
This past November marks one of our most amazing events! We were able to attend a field trip in partnership with UDC to take a tour of NASA. All of our students who participated were extremely grateful of this event and learned a lot about NASA's missions! Looking forward to our 2nd event with UDC next year!
McLean HS Clubs Sticker Collaboration
October 2022
With the variety of clubs at McLean High School, Aerospace Exploration was able to give our stickers out to the Debate and McXDance club as outreach to our community. We wanted students to be aware of our organization and the opportunities we can give to high schoolers!



September 2022
AE decided to launch our 2nd fundraiser! We sold homemade cookies to the DMV community and raised over 150+ dollars! Not only were we able to get to bond with our members, the fundraiser was extremely successful!

August 2022
After planning throughout the summer, AE decided to launch a fundraising shop known as Made by AE. We currently created 6 sticker designs and are planning on selling them throughout September-Novemeber!



May 2022
During the month of May, AE members were able to successfully sell over 50+ Egg Rolls and make over 60+ dollars! It was a super successful fundraiser, considering it was our first one! We hope people can continue supporting our fundraisers in the future
AE x CFK Valentines Cards
February 2022
We partnered with Cancer Kids First to deliver aerospace related as well as normal Valentines Day Cards to cancer patients! Aerospace Exploration's HEAD team as well as with the help of Volunteers and Chesapeake FTC Robotics Teams: Fairy Tail and Turtles made around 200 cards combined to give to Cancer Patients that were in contact with CKF. We hope they enjoyed our cute and sweet cards!

In our last week of this mentoring, S.H.A.R.E focused on setting goals while AE finished creating our prototype robot rover!

AE x S.H.A.R.E Mentoring

We partnered with S.H.A.R.E youth organization to give reading as well as engineering activities to children from K-1st grade. Aerospace Exploration showed children how to make a prototype Rover using straws while S.H.A.R.E worked on improving them in public speaking.



November 2021
After becoming an official non-profit organization, Aerospace Exploration decided to host their first Game Night where we played Valorant!

LEAD Team members: Hannah Lin, Maya Hamandi, and Cristina Pak, along with our Newsletter Editor SubTeam: Jaquelyn Dao, presented three mentoring sessions to help teens learn about planes, planets, and more!
